Your Responsibilities
* Supervise the daily operations of the Ocean Freight, Air Freight, and/or Customs Operations team to ensure efficient and accurate shipment processing. * Lead, coach, and support operations staff to achieve departmental objectives and maintain high performance. * Monitor shipment status and resolve operational issues, service failures, and customer escalations. * Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, customs regulations, and carrier requirements. * Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service quality. * Coordinate with carriers, overseas agents, trucking companies, warehouses, customs brokers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations. * Support the Sales team with operational expertise, pricing assistance, and new customer onboarding. * Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and overseas partners to ensure excellent customer service. * Monitor departmental KPIs and operational performance, and prepare reports for management. * Review operational documentation for accuracy and ensure timely billing. * Support recruitment, onboarding, and training while fostering a collaborative and accountable team environment.
Your Skills and Experience
* Bachelor?s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation, Business, or a related field is preferred. * Minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or international transportation operations. * Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is strongly preferred. * Experience with CargoWise or other freight forwarding management systems is preferred. * Excellent knowledge of freight forwarding documentation, customs regulations, and international shipping procedures. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities. * Mandarin is considered a strong asset (or required, depending on business needs).
