About this role
Responsibilities: - Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner - Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff members - Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar - Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments - Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records (EMR) systems - Assist with billing and coding tasks as needed - Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and emails - Keep the reception area clean and organized
Skills: - Previous experience working at a front desk or in a dental or medical office is preferred - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Paradigm and abeldent - Knowledge of dental terminology is a plus - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Proficient in using phone systems and handling multiple phone lines - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) - Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
