About Us
National Paving is a growing asphalt paving contractor specializing in residential, commercial, municipal, and industrial paving projects throughout Eastern Ontario. We take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining a safe and professional work environment.
We are currently looking for an experienced *Paver Operator* to join our paving crew for the upcoming season.
Responsibilities
* Operate and control an asphalt paver safely and efficiently. * Maintain proper paving speed, mat thickness, and head of material. * Work closely with roller operators, truck drivers, and labourers to produce a smooth, quality finished product. * Perform daily equipment inspections and complete required inspection reports. * Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance concerns promptly. * Assist with equipment cleaning and routine maintenance. * Follow grade, slope, and paving specifications. * Ensure work is completed safely while complying with company policies and Ontario health and safety regulations. * Assist with other paving crew duties as required.
Qualifications
* Previous experience operating an asphalt paver is required. * Experience with commercial, municipal, and residential paving projects. * Ability to maintain consistent paving quality and productivity. * Knowledge of asphalt paving procedures and best practices. * Strong communication and teamwork skills. * Mechanical aptitude is considered an asset. * Valid G driver's licence required (DZ licence is an asset). * Ability to work long hours during the paving season, including occasional weekends. * Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. * Physically fit and capable of performing construction-related tasks.

* CSA-approved work boots * High-visibility shirt or vest * Hard hat * Safety glasses * Appropriate work pants (jeans or cargo-style work pants)
