Counsellor to support our Counselling Services including Rapid Access, Individual, Family, & Child & Youth Counselling. Provide clinical counselling, therapy, & support services to navigating personal & interpersonal challenges, & provide clinics off-site for Rapid Access Counselling. Provide counselling, therapy & related services.Experience in counselling children, youth & familiesConducting initial assessments to determine needs & goalsDevelop individualized serviced plansFacilitate groups & develop programsAttend agency meetings, knowledgeable about agency programs/community activities & community outreachPerform related administrative & record keeping dutiesParticipate in clinical supervisionAssist with supervision of peers, students & individual casesWork flexible hours - including evenings & weekendsOther duties as assigned Degree in Social Work (BSW, BISW)3 years supervised clinical experience in a related/relevant counselling areaEligible to register with & maintain good standing in a relevant professional association Theories/Practices ofinterviewing, assessment, & evaluation techniqueshuman development, behavior & changecommunication & conflict resolutiontrauma- & violence-informed approachesAssess high risk clients (suicidal) & intervene quickly/appropriatelyExperience with evidence-based interventions for children & youth mental health & behavioural concernsCultural awareness & sensitivity to Indigenous, immigrant, refugee, newcomer and 2SLGBTQI+ communitiesExperience in facilitating group work; knowledge of group dynamicsStrong organizational, time management & caseload management skillsExcellent written & verbal communicationMaintain confidentiality & uphold professional ethical standardsRespond effectively to complex & sensitive situationsCommitment to ongoing professional development
