*This position is available for Day shift Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 4 pm and afternoons Monday to Thursday 4 pm to 2:30 am. *
*Job description*
*Duties & Responsibilities*
* Read blueprints, diagrams, and sketches, and read measurements to plan layout and procedures. * Assist in design and fitting of new products * Conduct repairs, modifications, and retrofits. * Set up components for welding according to specifications. * Assess welded surfaces, structures, and components to identify errors. * Operate hand tools and equipment to prepare the parts that must be welded if needed. * Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment. * Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety by monitoring temperature and wearing the required safety equipment at all times. * Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects.
*Qualifications*
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings (an asset) * Practical welding experience, including school-based training, is required. * Experience with heavy plate fitting * Excellent organizational skills are a must. * Good use of measuring tools and devices * High energy, motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills, team player * Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
\*Wage will be based on experience/skill level.

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
