Completion of Labour and Delivery, Obstetrics, and Nursery training programs, or a combined Maternal Newborn training program which provides training in all three areas, prior to commencing the position is also required. Individuals must be certified in neonatal resuscitation within six months of appointment to the position. The successful applicant should demonstrate an understanding and practice of the principles and values of family-centred care as well as knowledge and skill in supportive care of labour, birth, and breastfeeding within six months of commencing the position.Please Note: This position may be filled as per Employer/Union obligation under ?Duty to Accommodate?.
