currently hiring Food Services Manager to start immediately.
Job Duties
* Lead and direct a group of employees, including supervisors, chefs, cooks, kitchen helpers, and food counter attendants of Gateway Pizza Newton * Plan, organize, control, oversee and evaluate the operations food preparation * Set, monitor, and maintain weekly staff work schedules. Create employee schedules and find viable solutions when an employee is unable to make a shift * Oversee the preparation, presentation and delivery of food to guarantee that guests receive meals that are proportionate, consistent, cooked properly and aesthetically stunning * Monitor staff performance throughout the shifts, and on weekly basis * Control inventory, monitor revenues, and modify procedures and prices * Resolve customer complaints arising at the work place by phone or in person * Ensure health and safety regulations are followed in the kitchen, packaging, and at the front * Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies * Ensuring proper sanitization. Inspect kitchen areas, work stations and serving areas to verify that all are clean, safe and in working order. * Providing excellent customer service * Reviewing guest feedback. Review restaurant ratings, employee conduct and guest feedback to determine areas where things can improve, and come up with innovative solutions to problems * Minimizing the customer wait times at the front counter
Employment requirements
Completion of secondary school is required.
3 or more year experience in the food service sector, including some supervisory experience, is
required.
Excellent communication skills in English. Basic communication skills in Punjabi will be an asset to have, but not a requirement.
Exceptional time management skills, including the ability to prioritize, manage and meet multiple deadlines
Interpersonal skills and comfort with meeting new people on a daily basis

As per BC Employment standards act, 4% vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each pay period with 10 days of unpaid vacation annually or the option to choose 10 days of paid vacation annually with no vacation pay on each pay period. Free meals on work during the work
