About this role
We are seeking a *Tool and Die Maker *to join our team! In this role you will be providing workmanship by maintaining and improving production tooling, and supporting Ultramet's Press Shop delivery commitments.
Shift: Day Shift 7:00am- 3:00pm
We are located at *5153 Fountain St. N (Breslau, ON)*
*Reporting to*: Tooling Supervisor
*Job Responsibilities*
* Perform machining operations to a high degree of tolerance. * Operate an overhead crane. * Troubleshoot, and make the necessary press adjustments * Maintain, improve, repair or modify tools, dies and fixtures * Able to read/interpret part drawings * Able to interpret CMM reports and make the necessary corrections to tools * List recommendations for Tool improvements * Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English and to document stipulated records as instructed * Experience in Progressive Dies
*Requirements and Qualifications*
* Must be able to read, write legibly, speak and understand English and to document stipulated records as instructed. * Recognized completion of Tool and Die Apprenticeship or 5 years related experience in tool and progressive die maintenance in a stamping environment * Overhead Crane Certificate * Must be physically fit and capable of lifting up to approximately 40 lbs * Transfer die experience * Previous experience within the automotive manufacturing industry is an asset
