Launch Alliance (ULA) is seeking a Composite Structures Factory Support Engineering Leader 5 to lead an engineering team responsible for providing Composite Design engineering support to the build and certification for flight of Vulcan Composite Structures built at the Beyond Gravity facility in Decatur, AL, in order to create and sustain momentum in the factory and enable desired production rates. </span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">This role is accountable for people, process, tools, and outcomes, including working “daily triage” of all engineering issues that arise during build and fabrication, the disposition of nonconformances (QNotes), conducting proactive engineering walkdowns to ensure adherence to engineering requirements and design intent, and executing the hardware certification process that will facilitate the turnover of hardware to our downstream customers that is free of defects and ready for flight. </span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">In addition, this role is accountable for the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Payload Attach Fitting, Interstage Adapter and Heatshield components, including maintaining the specification maintenance and overseeing design updates.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Key Responsibilities:</span></p> <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Provide daily triage of all engineering issues that arise during build and fabrication.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Disposition nonconformance (QNote) in conjunction with ULA Quality.</span></li> <li sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Own functional development for the organization, including people development, process definition, and deployment of engineering tools.</span></li> <li progressively responsible engineering experience, plus a minimum of 2 years managing people, project management and/or team lead experience.</span></li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt"><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:10.0pt">Demonstrated experience leading engineering or production-support organizations.</span></li> <li
