We are seeking a/an</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"></H2> </div><div><h2><strong>Your place of work:</strong></h2> <p>The Faculty of Psychology at the University of Vienna comprises the Dean's Office, a Student Service Center, four institutes, and the Outpatient Unit for Research, Teaching and Practice. <br>Your future position is based with the new Professorship of clinical-psychological intervention research (Prof. Dr. Johanna Böttcher), which will be established in October 2026 at the Institute for Clinical and Health Psychology. The research group investigates innovative digital interventions for mental disorders and psychological distress. The research focuses on acceptance, effectiveness, and mechanisms of action in various digital settings. <br>Other key research areas of the professorship include:</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Transdiagnostic processes and approach </li> <li>Transcultural Psychotherapy</li> <li>Side Effects of Psychological Treatment</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>The working group actively promotes open and reproducible science (e.g., through pre-registration and the sharing of materials and data) and values diverse perspectives.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"></H2> </div><div><h2><strong>Your future tasks:</strong></h2> <p>Active participation in research, teaching & administration, which means:</p> <ul> <li>You strengthen a research profile in the field of clinical-psychological intervention research.</li> <li>You support the coordination and research activities of our digital intervention platform (currently under development) and the university outpatient clinic.</li> <li>You plan and conduct your own scientific studies.</li> <li>You publish articles in international peer-reviewed journals.</li> <li>You give presentations at national and international scientific conferences.</li> <li>You participate in science communication activities.</li> <li>You apply for projects and raise third-party funds.</li> <li>You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the <a title="" href="https://www.univie.ac.at/en/about-us/legal-information-and-notices/collective-agreement" target="_self">collective bargaining agreement</a>.</li> <li>You supervise students. </li> <li>You participate in evaluation measures and in quality assurance.</li> <li>You take on administrative tasks in research and teaching.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"></H2> </div><div><h2><strong>This is part of your personality: </strong></h2> <ul> <li>Completed doctoral/PhD studies in psychology.</li> <li>Experience in the field of scientific intervention research.</li> <li>In-depth knowledge of quantitative data analysis methods, including data analysis using Python, R, or similar software.</li> <li>Proven research competence and initiative through international publications in peer-reviewed journals.</li> <li>Excellent spoken and written English skills.</li> <li>Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team.</li> <li>Leadership skills and ability to work in a team.</li> <li>Diligent, independent work methods.</li> <li>Strong sense of responsibility. </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Desirable qualifications are:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with and interest in innovative study-designs for investigating the efficacy and mechanisms of action of clinical interventions. </li> <li>Experience with qualitative designs, ecological momentary assessments, or meta-analyses.</li> <li>Experience with and interest in transcultural psychotherapy and the treatment of marginalized groups.</li> <li>Very good spoken and written German language skills.</li> <li>Additional language skills (e.g., Arabic, Farsi, Turkish, Russian…).</li> <li>Teaching experience / experience with e-learning.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"></H2> </div><div><h2><strong>What we offer:</strong></h2> <p><strong>Work-life balance:</strong> Our employees enjoy flexible working hours, remote/hybrid upon agreement.</p> <p><strong>Inspiring working atmosphere:</strong> You are part of a friendly and supportive team with excellent research infrastructure and connections to other interdisciplinary research initiatives. We offer an initial contract for three years.
