The Group operates as a commercial organisation across 10 business units, including 12 production facilities located in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa. The commercial organisation is responsible for the marketing and sales of Ornua’s consumer brands including Ireland’s most successful food export: Kerrygold. Consumer markets are served by production facilities in Ireland, Germany and the UK and by in-market Sales & Marketing Teams in Asia, Germany, Ireland, MEA, Poland, Spain, rest of Europe and North and Latin America. It also manages the procurement of Irish and non-Irish dairy products, the sale of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing and foodservice customers globally, and the implementation of de-risking and trading strategies to manage market volatility. These activities are supported by production facilities and in-market teams in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa. WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE: Responsible for leading a team of Data Scientists to deliver innovative data solutions that drive business value. This role partners with business stakeholders to deliver analytics solutions overseeing the end-to-end data science lifecycle, drives discovery of high-value use cases, and unlocks breakthrough insights through novel approaches leveraging AI and advanced analytics. The role reports to the Head of Data & Analytics and works closely with peer leaders including the Data Engineering & Platforms Manager and Master Data Manager, as well as the broader ICT leadership team. Proven experience leading teams that enable a data-driven approach at global scale within the CPG sector and dairy industry. Deep understanding of end-to-end business processes including sourcing, pricing, consumer and brand insights, supply chain, manufacturing, finance, ESG, quality, and HR analytics. Strong track record of leveraging data and advanced analytics to improve decision-making, optimise performance, and drive enterprise-wide value.
