JD for Blockchain-DAML Developer – Senior Job Summary This person would have significant experience in Full stack and Blockchain technologies, preferably Ethereum or DAML/Canton. He/she needs to have strong communication skills and the ability to work with our clients and teams across globe. An experience in working on Azure and dev ops tools would be an added advantage. Your Responsibilities <ul> <li>Design, develop, deploy, and maintain Canton-based applications using DAML</li> <li>Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging in a DAML-based platform.</li> <li>Design and implement DAML models and workflows</li> <li>Connect applications to environments, manage day-to-day configuration and operational troubleshooting across dev/test/prod</li> <li>Implement integrations using ledger-facing APIs (e.g., JSON API or gRPC-based APIs)</li> <li>Developing scalable, fast, robust and simple web-based solutions to solve complex business problems</li> <li>Provides technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration across multiple client engagements from definition phase through implementation</li> <li>Keep up to date on emerging capabilities in open source area and identify where and how new capabilities can be applied</li> <li>Work closely with Product Management to plan and negotiate iterative development cycles in an Agile environment</li> <li>Suggests alternative technical solutions to meet client requirements more efficiently, and/or with greater reusability.</li> <li>Contribute to EY’s internal knowledge base on best practices in this full technology area.</li> <li>Completion of assigned tasks on time and regular status reporting to the lead</li> <li>Keen sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize problems, analyze and resolve issues.</li> <li>Manage the team members by ensuring that the tasks are completed on time.</li> </ul> Primary Skills Requirements <ul> <li>6 to 10 years of experience in web application development with at least 2 years in Blockchain development</li> <li>Experience programming with object oriented and/or declarative languages</li> <li>Strong experience in Blockchain (Ethereum/ Canton) - Canton preferred</li> <li>Strong experience in writing smart contracts on Solidity or DAML – DAML preferred</li> <li>Experience in Scala, Clojure, Elm</li> <li>Basic working knowledge of Canton concepts such as participants, domains, and onboarding/party setup</li> <li>Expertise in writing end to end test coverage for DAML contracts</li> <li>Familiarity with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and message queuing systems</li> <li>Skills in writing end to end integration with external signatures</li> <li>Experience troubleshooting DAML applications</li> <li>Proven skill to scale up on new technologies</li> <li>Experience in developing REST services</li> <li>Highly experienced with back-end programming languages like Node JS</li> <li>Experience with developing web-based solutions using HTML 5, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript framework like Angular JS, React etc.</li> <li>Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle and MongoDB</li> <li>Experience using modern software configuration management tools in an automated build environment such as Git, Azure Dev Ops etc.</li> <li>Azure/AWS knowledge is required</li> <li>Agile development experience</li> <li>Strong communication skills</li> <li>Ability to in leading team</li> <li>Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations</li> </ul> Secondary Skills Requirements <ul> <li>Work closely with Product Management to plan and negotiate iterative development cycles in an Agile environment.</li> <li>Should have experience in architecting applications in Cloud</li> <li>Ability to work in a team environment as well as individual contributor</li> <li>Ensuring non-functional aspect like high availability, scalability, security, performance, resiliency, cloud readiness & monitoring etc of partner integration are well crafted in architecture and design produced and are validated before & after implementation of application / enhancement / initiative / project etc.</li> </ul> EY | Building a better working world EY exists to build a better working world, helping to create long-term value for clients, people and society and build trust in the capital markets.
