The Opportunity Your Key Responsibilities <ul> <li>Lead the end-to-end fund accounting process for multiple private credit funds, ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.</li> <li>Oversee accounting for complex private credit transactions, including loan originations, repayments, PIK interest, coupon interest, OID amortization, commitment fees, restructuring events, and realized/unrealized gains or losses.</li> <li>Review and approve journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, investment accounting, and supporting schedules.</li> <li>Oversee Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations and ensure compliance with fund governing documents and accounting policies.</li> <li>Review investor allocations, capital account statements, capital calls, distributions, equalization, and carried interest calculations where applicable.</li> <li>Ensure timely preparation and review of financial statements, investor reporting packages, and regulatory reporting deliverables.</li> <li>Establish and maintain robust internal controls over fund accounting processes.</li> <li>Drive process optimization, automation, and standardization initiatives to improve operational efficiency and scalability.</li> <li>Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs), and reporting timelines.</li> <li>Lead, mentor, and develop a team of fund accountants through coaching, training, and performance management.</li> <li>Review work completed by team members to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to established procedures.</li> <li>Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.</li> </ul> Skills and attributes for success <ul> <li>Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance. Professional qualification such as CA, CPA is preferred.</li> <li>Minimum 9 years of experience in private credit fund accounting, private equity fund accounting, fund administration, or alternative investment operations.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience managing teams</li> <li>Strong understanding of private credit products, including direct lending, senior secured loans, mezzanine debt, unitranche facilities, syndicated loans, and structured credit.</li> <li>In-depth knowledge of fund accounting principles, investment accounting, NAV calculations, investor allocations, and financial reporting.</li> <li>Strong understanding of US GAAP and/or IFRS applicable to alternative investment funds.</li> <li>Experience working with fund accounting platforms such as SS&C Geneva, Investran, Allvue, eFront, or equivalent systems.</li> <li>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical and reconciliation capabilities</li> <li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience interacting with senior stakeholders.</li> <li>Strong project management and organizational skills.</li> <li>Demonstrates ownership, accountability, sound judgment, and a continuous improvement mindset.</li> </ul> Ideally, you’ll also What we look for What we offer you At EY, we’ll develop you with future-focused skills and equip you with world-class experiences.
