SR PLANNING MANAGER POSITION SUMMARY: This position coordinates and manages the Planning Department and associated Planners and / or BOM Specialists. Provides training and monitors planning activities and metrics. RESPONSIBILITIES: <ol> <li style="text-align:justify">Develops and implements the company's production control functions including any of the following activities: production planning/coordination, shop scheduling and dispatching, material requirements, planning systems, work-in-process tracking, material and labor variance controls, and manufacturing performance reporting.</li> <li>Ensure that S&OE and S&OP are sustained at the intended maturity level with adherence to the relevant weekly and monthly processes.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function..</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Responsible for planning, reviewing, and developing production procedures and personnel.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Coordinate activities with materials function using enterprise resource planning systems.</li> <li>Develop metrics and analytics to report manufacturing performance such as OTD, Manufacturing Lead-Times, CTB, Adherence to plans.</li> <li>Periodically conduct health check on the process and outcome. Manage projects to implement improvements to the process.</li> <li>Manages ECO (Enterprise Change Order) Implementation within group.</li> <li>Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Others duties as assigned.</li> </ol> WORK ENVIRONMENT <ul> <li class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align:justify">Location: Mexicali</li> <li class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align:justify">Works in standard office environment</li> <li class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align:justify">Works in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with manufactuing escalations to resolve</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Must also be able to navigate through the production environment, following the processes and procedures dictated in manufacturing.</li> </ul> QUALIFICATIONS & CAPABILITIES: <ul> <li style="text-align:justify">Ability to clearly articulate information at customer, executive, peer or team in a clear and persuasive manner, both orally and in writing.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Strong analytical skills to drive data driven engagements</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Strong SAP knowledge (R3, S4, PPDS, IBP)</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Capability to respond quickly, decisively, assertively, and professionally to changing requirements in demand, product description, and material demand.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Ability to manage and lead a staff of professional Production Planners.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Ability to organize, schedule, coordinate, and negotiate effectively and to set priorities in a manner which ensures maximum performance and goal accomplishment.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of demand-based manufacturing systems.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Ability to define a roadmap to enhance current ways of working</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Excellent analytical skills, including Power BI, Tableau, Excel</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Excellent presentation skills, Word, Power Point </li> <li style="text-align:justify">Strong organizational skills</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Process driven individual </li> <li style="text-align:justify">Ability to work with several projects simultaneously</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Ability to motivate others in a team environment</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Sales and Operation Plannings (S&OP) Experience</li> </ul> EXPERIENCE: Essential: <ul> <li style="text-align:justify">Minimum 7 years of experience working in a manufacturing and production arrangement as well as new product introduction environment.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Proven track record of success and growth in positions of increasing responsibility.</li> <li>Experience in a high mix/low volume, pull-based manufacturing environment.</li> <li>Previous experience in production planning required.</li> <li>Previous experience managing people desired.</li> </ul> Desirable: EDUCATION: Essential: <ul> <li style="text-align:justify">College / Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Production Operations Management, Materials Management, or Engineering, or closely related field that is equivalent education and/or experience.</li> </ul> Desirable: <ul> <li style="text-align:justify">Prefer MBA or post-graduate degree.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">APICS CPIM Certification strongly desired.</li> <li style="text-align:justify">Six-Sigma Training/Green Belt Certification desired</li> </ul>
