Where you fit in: As our Metering Team Leader you will <ul> <li>You will be responsible for delivering the company's meter reading programme and managing all subsequent billing and metering queries; ranging from high consumption queries, to leaking meters and meter survey appointments. You will be responsible for leading a team of Metered Customer Service advisor to deliver industry leading customer experience to both our household customers and our non-household customers and their retailers with a particular focus on the delivery of the meter reading service provision for our contracted retailers.</li> <li>Working alongside the rest of the metering operations teams and the Smart metering team you will help design our future ways of working as we deploy over 1.4 million smart meters.</li> <li>You will be responsible for leading the team to deliver excellent performance by setting clear expectations linked to business targets, having meaningful performance discussions that recognise and reward the right performance and behaviours and challenges where individual performance and behaviours do not meet expectations.</li> <li>You will also drive excellent standards and performance in health and safety, risk management and control of work and ensure compliance with the YW Safety Policy.</li> </ul> What skills & qualifications you will need: <ul> <li>Experience of understanding where their team's role fits within a business plan and then implementing plans to deliver the outputs.</li> <li>Develops and maintains effective internal and external relationships.</li> <li>Experience of supporting and embedding change, able to influence and drive the right culture and behaviours.</li> <li>Clearly demonstrates the Yorkshire Water company values and behaviours</li> <li>You must also hold a valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.</li> </ul> You will also benefit from having: <ul> <li>Experience of managing and leading a team with a proven track record of driving sustainable performance against challenging business targets.</li> <li>Previous experience in a commercially orientated and / or regulated environment.</li> <li>Previous experience gained within the water or wastewater sectors or within the broader utilities, process or manufacturing industry sectors.</li> <li>Although we operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, it’s important to us that we support flexible working patterns and job share options (when we can), to help you make the best of both your work and home life.
