<p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">PACCAR Global Powertrain organization is seeking a motivated System Performance Verification Engineer to support testing, verification, and system integration activities for PACCAR’s advanced engine aftertreatment systems. This position is located at PACCAR Technical Center, Mount Vernon, WA.</span></p> <p> </p> <h3>Job Responsibilities </h3> <p> </p> <ul> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Define and execute verification, and testing activities to support engine aftertreatment development in vehicle and in the test cell environment</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Collaboration with Engine Integration, OBD calibration and Vehicle Integration teams to successfully integrate aftertreatment functions</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Recommend, develop, and execute continuous process improvement to improve product quality, reliability, and durability of the PACCAR engine aftertreatment system</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Complete reports and presentations to communicate findings, draw conclusions and give recommendations on the next steps</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Stay aware of new and upcoming aftertreatment technologies and testing methods</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Maintain a positive working relationship with other groups at the PACCAR Technical Center and other PACCAR divisions</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <h3><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Qualifications &amp; Skills </span></h3> <p> </p> <ul> <li>3+ years of relevant engineering work experience in a related field </li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">B.S. in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Mechanical), Computer Science, or related discipline (MS preferred) </span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Understanding of heavy-duty diesel emissions regulatory requirements including diagnostics</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Understanding of current diesel exhaust aftertreatment technology (DOC, DPF, SCR &amp; DEF)</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Knowledge of engine control system strategies and how they pertain to diesel engine and aftertreatment systems </span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Scripting and data analysis experience using MATLAB, Python or Minitab desired</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Experience with engine test cell/vehicle data collection, analysis and test planning is preferred</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Experience with engine calibration, data collection tools (ATI Vision/Vector Canape, Cummins Calterm/ETAS INCA &amp; Vector CANalyzer) and engine control systems</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Must be self-directed; possess excellent analysis, communication, and presentation skills; must be organized and take a rigorous approach to engineering projects</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ability to work well independently and as part of a team</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Must be able to manage personal workload and have the willingness, flexibility, and initiative to respond to shifting time and project demands</span></li> <li><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Ability to travel up to 15%, including international travel</span></li> </ul> <h3> </h3> <h3>About PACCAR </h3> <p> </p> <p>PACCAR, Inc. is a Fortune 500 company established in 1905 and is recognized as a global leader in the commercial vehicle, financial, and customer service fields. The salary range for the System Performance Verification Engineer is $77,700 - $116,200 annually. Additionally, this role is eligible for a full range of benefit options listed above.
