The Salaried GP with a view to Partnership will work collaboratively with our supportive multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, and accessible healthcare to our patients.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will work 4 sessions per week and this will include 1 On-call session per week with the exception of annual leave where the On-call sessions are shared amongst other Colleagues

The practice undertakes telephone triage and the morning is predominantly spent triaging patients, giving advice or arranging a face to face appointments that morning or the afternoon.

Administrative Responsibilities

Complete clinical documentation accurately and promptly.

Process referrals within agreed timescales.

Sign prescriptions within agreed timescales, both manual and EPS

Manage test results and action accordingly

Manage clinical workflow and action tasks effectively.

Assist with reports and medical information requests when required.

Leadership and Partnership Responsibilities

Contribute to strategic planning and future development of the practice.

Participate in decision-making regarding service delivery and operational improvements.

Support achievement of practice quality standards and contractual requirements.

Work with partners and management to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.

Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive working environment

About us

Due to the retirement of our Senior Partner, we are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Salaried GP with a genuine and transparent view to Partnership (4 Sessions with the view to increase and subject to a 6 month probationary period).

We are a well established busy GP practice serving the local community in Morriston and surrounding areas. The practice benefits from a purpose built building with a list size of just over 7300 patients. Our current multidisciplinary team comprises of 3 Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 3 Minor Illness Nurses/Chronic Conditions Nurses, 1 Treatment Room Nurse and a Health Care Assistant. The practice has a supportive Reception/Admin team and we are committed to delivering high quality and accessible healthcare.
