Job summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive GP practice in Streatham. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to our diverse patient population and work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent primary care services.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
Deliver general nursing services including:
Immunisations and vaccinations (childhood & adult)
Wound care and dressings
Cervical cytology (smears)
Health checks and lifestyle advice
Manage chronic disease clinics (e.g. asthma, diabetes, COPD, hypertension, SMI and Learning disability reviews)
Perform phlebotomy, blood pressure monitoring, and urinalysis
B12 and Depo injections
contraception review
Support infection prevention and control procedures
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using clinical systems (EMIS)
Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
Work within NMC guidelines and practice protocols
Support safeguarding and public health initiatives
Assist in training and mentoring healthcare assistants where appropriate

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Registered Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration Experience working in a GP practice or primary care setting Competent in cervical smears ,wound dressing and chronic disease management. Phlebotomy trained Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team IT literate (EMIS desirable)
Desirable
Experience with QOF and clinical audits Travel health training
