About this role

Job summary

As a Systems Developer, you'll play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and supporting clinical systems and reporting tools across our Trusts. You'll provide specialist knowledge, training, and support to end users, ensuring high-quality information and robust system enhancements for our core hospital systems.

Main duties of the job

Assist in developing and implementing systems for clinical and management information. Provide training and support to end users, including clinicians, nurses, and managers. Investigate and develop new reporting methods using modern programming and analytical tools. Analyse complex data to produce meaningful management information. Support and enhance hospital core systems, including Lorenzo and Business Intelligence. Collaborate with Information Services, Innovation & Technology teams, and external suppliers.

Qualifications Essential

Educated to degree standard or demonstrable equivalent experience Qualification in Computer Programming

Evidence of ongoing personal development

Experience Essential

Minimum of one year's experience working in an Information Development role or environment analysing complex data using a variety of sources/information systems Ability to set up clinical and non clinical information systems to collect and query/analyse complex patient level data for reporting and audit purposes Specialist I.T. skills and expert user in software and programming tools for developments such as Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, TFS, .Net, C#/VB.Net, ASP.NET.

Desirable

Understanding of hospital systems such as Patient Administration Systems Experience of data analysis and interpretation in a clinical environment Familiar with integration solutions eg. SSIS & Inter-systems Ensemble
