About this role

Job summary

As a Junior Systems Developer, you'll play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and supporting clinical systems and reporting tools across our Trusts. You'll provide specialist knowledge, training, and support to end users, ensuring high-quality information and robust system enhancements for our core hospital systems.

Main duties of the job

As a Junior Systems Developer, you'll:

Log and investigate application and interface issues, providing advice and workarounds. Advise clients on bespoke in-house applications and interface capabilities. Analyse customer requirements and provide solutions for complex queries. Assist in developing bespoke applications using tools like .Net Framework and Visual Studio. Create and alter design documentation, test scripts, and conduct testing of systems. Contribute to the design, development, and testing of applications and interfaces.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a range of IM&T areas. Degree in a computer science related discipline

Desirable

Evidence of ongoing personal development Evidence of understanding of medical terminology.

Experience Essential

Knowledge of object oriented programming languages, such as C#.

Desirable

One or more years' experience working in a Software development role or environment gathering and analysing user requirements Experience using hospital systems such as Lorenzo. Experience of developing healthcare integration solutions. Experience of developing clinical systems. Knowledge of Healthcare Interoperability Standards At least one year's experience creating design documentation and test scripts for software. Experience documenting user requirements
