Main duties of the job
As an Advanced Level Physiotherapist in our exciting Physiotherapy team, you will:
Have meaningful clinical conversations to ensure patient safety and ascertain pertinent clinical details that enable an appropriate management decision to be recommendedConsider wider sources of symptoms outside of the typical MSK presentationsInitiate a structure for individual rehabilitation programmes for musculoskeletal referrals, coordinating with face-to-face physiotherapists within Nuffield Health and the Fusion clinical teamRefer patients for diagnostic imaging to help safely determine the most appropriate management pathwayRefer patients to an appropriate consultant where clinically indicatedAct as a point of clinical expertise for other health professionalsReview emerging evidence within area of specialist knowledge, collaborating with other team members in utilising this knowledge and disseminating it to other cliniciansParticipate in service development as needs arise

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Level Physiotherapist to join our Advanced Level Physiotherapy (ALP) Service. This is an exciting remote opportunity for a clinician who is passionate about delivering expert patient care and ensuring an exceptional patient experience.
About the Advanced Level Physiotherapist role:
The main purpose of this role is to use specialised clinical knowledge and excellent communication skills to help manage and signpost certain PMI-patients presenting with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions. It's about treating patients as individuals in line with Nuffield Health values and tailoring the care you give and conversations you have, to meet their needs. The ALP Service is made up of a team of highly skilled clinicians and excellent administrative support staff working closely together to ensure an exceptional experience for every patient.
As an ALP your remit will include in-depth and thorough clinical conversations, appropriate onward referrals for diagnostics, referring for consultant opinion or to other specialist services, and reviews of patients undergoing face to face physiotherapy treatment. All patient contact is performed remotely via telephone, and comprehensive training for the role is provided as well as ongoing support from a Team Leader.

Registered with the UK Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) Have a BSc in Physiotherapy (or equivalent) and 8+ years of clinical experience and post-graduate education Achieved or be working towards an MSc in the field of musculoskeletal physiotherapy/have completed or working towards Level 7 postgraduate course(s) Ability to demonstrate and utilise a highly developed knowledge of musculoskeletal conditions Ability to assess complex conditions, often including multiple co-morbidities Confident in excluding sinister pathology with appropriate and effective questioning, and have a breadth and depth of knowledge that encompasses conditions and pathologies outside of the usual MSK presentations Have outstanding communication skills which can be utilised appropriately with patients, peers, other healthcare professionals and external stakeholders Helping you feel good.
