The Operator Energy System is responsible for routine maintenance and operation of CFTOD Plants that produce chilled, hot water and compressed air for the Walt Disney World Resort. Any given day they will monitor plant equipment and system status, responding to all plant alerts and alarms. The field service position may include work from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property.
Responsibilities : Validate the operation of equipment (chilled, hot water and compressed air production), document the operational status and make necessary adjustments to optimize equipment performancePerform sequencing of equipment to meet production demands while optimizing plant efficiencyRespond to emergency conditions that may require restarting the entire facilityPerform routine water treatment tests and operate chemical equipment to maintain water chemistryCast members may be required to handle cleaning chemicals and suppliesAdditional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required
Basic Qualifications : Minimum 4 years' working experience with industrial equipment operation or a related fieldValid Florida driver’s licenseUniversal EPA certification or successful completion of this certificate within 3 months of employmentWorking knowledge of energy production equipment such as chillers, cooling towers, diesel powered generators, fire tube boilers, centrifugal air compressors, plant controls and ancillary equipmentExperience working with different types of oil, grease and lubricantsPossess the ability to interpret blueprints and flow chartsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsExcellent written and interpersonal communication skillsProficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices
