SUPO)Why this role matters:As a Senior Structural Engineer, you’ll lead structural analysis and engineering efforts to ensure ICEYE’s satellites meet demanding aerospace requirements for structural integrity, reliability, and manufacturability, enabling mission success from launch through on-orbit operations.

Your day-to-day responsibilitiesLead, manage, and mentor the Structural Analysis teamDefine structural requirements from mission and launcher constraints down to system and subsystem levelsLead and contribute to trade studies, design reviews, and verification and qualification documentationEnsure smooth and timely product delivery from concept through qualificationDrive continuous improvement of structural design and analysis methodsCollaborate with hardware engineering, AIT, and quality teams to ensure compliance with launch and in-orbit environmentsWork with system and subsystem engineers to define requirements for new productsSupport integration, validation, and issue resolution across internal and external teamsRequirements
Must haves:Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related fieldExperience leading and managing structural analysis or engineering teamsExperience designing satellite structures, subsystems, or complex electromechanical systemsDeep understanding of mechanical stress, vibration, and thermal effects on space structuresStrong expertise in finite element analysis, including structural dynamics and failure analysisExperience with mechanical, hybrid, and bonded joints for load-carrying composite structuresFamiliarity with aerospace standards such as ECSS, NASA, or MILAbility to collaborate cross-functionally with systems, electrical, and manufacturing teamsNice to haves:Experience with PLM or PDM systems for configuration controlHands-on experience with mechanical assembly, integration, and testingExperience with launch vehicle or spacecraft environmentsApplication processRecruiter screeningHiring manager interviewTechnical taskTechnical panel interviewFinal interviewBenefits
