The CPA Senior Accountant (controller-track) will help ensure the numbers are accurate, defensible, and useful for decision-making. This role requires strong discipline in month-end close, inventory accounting, and true manufacturing costing using BOM and Work Orders (WIP, yields/scrap, variances). This role will work closely with CEO/COO and coordinate with Operations and Warehouse teams to validate inputs and improve controls.
Duties and Responsibilities:
➤ Month-End Close and Reporting (2 entities)
Drive month-end close: accruals, cut-off checks, schedules, and reconciliationsProduce monthly P&L/BS outputs with clear variance notes for CEO/COOMaintain clean supporting schedules and audit-ready documentation➤ Manufacturing Costing (True BOM / Work Orders)
Ensure accurate inventory valuation, WIP accounting, and COGS for manufacturing + tradingReview BOM accuracy, work order postings, material consumption, yields/scrap, and adjustmentsPrepare variance analysis (PPV, usage/yield, production variances) and flag margin leakage➤ Inventory and Warehouse Controls (Multi-warehouse)
Strengthen controls on receiving, transfers, adjustments, cycle counts, and physical countsReconcile inventory subledger ↔ GL ↔ physical counts; drive discrepancy resolution➤ Controls and Process Discipline
Call out wrong or inconsistent inputs (warehouse, purchasing, sales, expense claims) and enforce proper documentation and codingHelp improve SOPs on approvals, cut-off, expense classification, and documentation standards➤ Systems Transition (Xero → Odoo)
Support migration activities: mapping, master data discipline, validation, and parallel checksHelp define finance controls in Odoo for inventory and manufacturing transactions Team coordinationSupervise/coach 1 -2 Accounting Staff handling AR/AP and help improve quality and turnaround timeWhat success looks like (first 90–120 days)

Must-have Skills / Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Commerce, or any related fieldCertified Public Accountant (CPA) in good standing is preferredWith at least 4 to 8 years of solid accounting experience, including proven ownership of month-end closing processesStrong background in inventory accounting, reconciliation, and monitoring; experience in a multi-warehouse setup is an advantageEffective communication skills, with the ability to clearly present financial results and recommend appropriate actions to ManagementAdvantageous or Nice-to-Have Skills/Experience:
Solid exposure to manufacturing accounting, particularly in BOM, Work Orders, WIP monitoring, yield and scrap analysis, and production variance reconciliationPrevious experience in a similar role, such as Plant Accountant, Cost Accountant, Costing Supervisor, or Accounting Supervisor, within a manufacturing setupWorking knowledge of ERP systems such as Odoo, SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, or Dynamics, including system implementation, migration, or process improvement initiativesProven experience in accounting operations covering both manufacturing and distribution business environments
Job Type: Full-Time Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, exclusive of 1 hour break
