Position Overview The Recruitment Officer is responsible for managing and executing the end-to-end recruitment process to attract, select, and onboard top talent for IBSUniversity. This role requires building strong relationships with hiring managers, developing innovative sourcing strategies, and ensuring a positive candidate experience to support the university's strategic goals. The officer also manages labor and immigration processes for expatriates and their dependents.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment Planning and Strategy o Collaborate with department heads to understand current and future workforce requirements. o Develop job descriptions and specifications in consultation with hiring managers. o Create and implement recruitment plans to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates. o Stay updated on market trends to adjust strategies for hard-to-fill or critical roles.
2. Sourcing and Advertising o Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies to identify potential candidates through online job boards, social media platforms, recruitment agencies, and employee referrals. o Design and post engaging job advertisements to attract quality candidates. o Build and maintain a talent pipeline for current and future hiring needs.
3. Screening and Selection o Review applications and shortlist candidates based on qualifications, experience, and role requirements. o Conduct initial phone screenings to assess candidate suitability. o Schedule, coordinate, and participate in interviews with hiring managers and panel members. o Administer pre-employment assessments and conduct reference and background checks.
4. Offer Management and Onboarding o Prepare and negotiate employment offers in alignment with organizational policies. o Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all documentation and orientation requirements are met. o Liaise with payroll and other departments to ensure a seamless transition for new employees.
5. Candidate Experience o Ensure timely communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process. o Provide constructive feedback to unsuccessful candidates when requested. o Promote IBS University as an employer of choice by delivering a positive candidate experience.
6. Reporting and Metrics o Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment records. o Generate reports on recruitment metrics, including time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and candidate satisfaction. o Evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment efforts and recommend improvements.
7. Compliance o Ensure recruitment practices comply with employment laws and university policies. o Maintain confidentiality of sensitive candidate and organizational information.
8. Labor and Immigration Processes o Manage expatriate recruitment, including coordination of work permits and visas for new hires, their dependents, and existing expatriate staff and their dependents. o Handle renewals of work permits and visas for expatriate staff and dependents in a timely manner. o Fast-track work permits and visas through networks and other creative solutions to minimize delays. o Liaise with government authorities and agencies to ensure compliance with labor and immigration regulations. Key Qualifications and Skills
Education/Qualification • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience • Proven experience in end-to-end recruitment, preferably in higher education or a similar industry. • Familiarity with labor and immigration processes for expatriates and their dependents is an advantage.

Working Conditions • Full-time role based at IBSUniversity, with occasional travel for recruitment fairs and events. • Ability to work extended hours during peak recruitment periods.
