Job Title: Commercial, ServiceTechnician Lead Hand (ODT1–ODT2) Hourly Rate: $36.68 – $43.70 Location: Kelowna, British Columbia We are innovative, customer-centric, and professional, with a goal of providing exceptional service to our customers. This role is pivotal in supporting our commercial and industrial customers and is responsible for the service, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of doors and dock equipment in today's ever-evolving market. We have a strong backlog of work and are looking for the right team members to join our crew! As our business continues to grow, there are abundant opportunities to install and service a wide variety of equipment types and manufacturers. In this role, you will lead a crew on certain projects and work independently on others, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial and industrial doors, door operating systems, gate operating systems, and dock leveling equipment. This is a field-based position that requires working in a variety of weather conditions and industrial environments, which may include exposure to dirt, dust, oil, and other job site conditions. Responsibilities Install, service, and repair residential garage doors, entry doors, and related hardware. Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, performing repairs and preventive maintenance as required. Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain professional relationships with customers and contractors. Complete work orders, timekeeping, and service documentation accurately and on time. Maintain company vehicle, tools, inventory, and truck stock. Follow all safety policies, procedures, and industry standards. Support team training, continuous improvement initiatives, and company goals. Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager. Qualifications 3+ years of experience installing and servicing commercial door systems, including rolling steel doors, high-speed doors, sectional doors, dock levelers, automated entrances, gates, and man doors. Related experience will also be considered. Welding and/or electrical experience is an asset. Ability to travel and participate in after-hours, weekend, and on-call work as required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong mechanical aptitude and proven troubleshooting skills. Physically capable of performing demanding field work and working at heights. Proficient with hand and power tools. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage priorities. Customer-focused with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Adaptable, dependable, and safety-conscious.High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to successfully pass a background check.
