Job Title: Service Apprentice, Technician Hourly Rate: $26.08 per hour Location: Kamloops, British Columbia Door Systems is Hiring in Kamloops, British Columbia! Looking to build a career, not just a job? Our Apprentice program offers hands-on training and the opportunity to grow into a skilled Commercial Door Technician. No door industry experience? Perfect -we'd rather train the right person. If you have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and basic experience with power tools, we want to hear from you. Working alongside experienced technicians, you'll learn to install, service, and repair commercial doors, dock equipment, gate operators, and access systems. With a strong backlog of work and continued growth, now is a great time to join the team. Responsibilities: Assist with the installation, service, and repair of sectional, rolling, and high-speed door systems.S Support troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities. Maintain truck stock, tools, inventory, and company vehicle. Complete accurate timekeeping, job documentation, and work orders. Interact professionally with customers, contractors, and team members. Develop problem-solving skills while supporting a variety of installation and service projects. Follow all safety policies, procedures, and company standards. Participate in training and ongoing development opportunities. Support the company's values, goals, and commitment to exceptional customer service. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn. Experience in construction, installation, service, or a skilled trade is an asset. Comfortable using hand and power tools. Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable working at heights and performing physical work. Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record. Ability to pass a background check. Working Conditions: Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Commercial, industrial, and construction environments. Working at heights using ladders and lift equipment. Physical work including lifting, climbing, and carrying materials.
