About this role
We're seeking an experienced Risk Manager to own and operate the Data Preservation Program supporting legal proceedings in the Delivery Service Partner (DSP) organization. This role serves as the single-threaded owner for three interconnected workstreams: (1) identifying and partnering on the automation and centralization of data associated with high severity incidents that could result in litigation, (2) coordinating programmatic responses and legal enablement across DSP operations, and (3) partnering with the business teams and Legal to ensure preservation requirements evolve as business processes changes. This individual will bridge business operations, technical and legal teams to build scalable, repeatable mechanisms that protect Amazon's interests while reducing risk exposure. Key job responsibilities • Serve as corporate representative in depositions, trials, and other legal proceedings • Gain comprehensive knowledge of Last Mile operations, policies, and procedures • Influences roadmaps, business and technology decisions, and risk portfolio strategy for Last Mile litigation defense • High impact at organizational level, affecting multiple products across multiple organizations • Manages the full lifecycle of complex risk programs with negotiated and defined obligations • Drives risk reduction quantified with metrics, balancing customer experience against risk management concerns • Own the engagement and support model for Legal, Litigation, and Risk teams requiring DSP data, replacing deprecated workflows with scalable self-service capabilities • Partner with DSP Analytics to enable teams to self-serve data through training on tools and pre-built queries • Aggregate common use cases and assess build vs. self-service requirements, coordinating with teams per established RACI • Establish metrics for program effectiveness, including response time reduction, self-service adoption rates, and discovery production quality scores • Serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) coordinator, routing topics to appropriate SMEs, tracking feedback timelines, and escalating gaps • Partner with Legal to identify additional opportunities
