Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Accurate. Excellent oral communication. Reliability. Team player. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years. Employment terms options: Flexible hours.
