*Overview* We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sr. Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with accounting software and financial processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. This position supports branch avtivity from our corporate location in Kelowna.
*Responsibilities*
* Manage and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions * Prepare and analyze account reconciliations for bank statements, general ledger, and other financial accounts * Utilize QuickBooks to maintain accurate financial records * Conduct auditing procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards * Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, and account analysis to support organizational planning * Manage payroll processing and related reporting activities * Support month-end and year-end closing procedures with detailed financial documentation * Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial services projects and reporting requirements
*Qualifications*
* CPA designation preferred * Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role with strong knowledge of corporate finance principles * Proficiency in QuickBooks software * Experience with account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, auditing, and bookkeeping practices * Familiarity with payroll processing and account analysis techniques * Strong understanding of budgeting processes and financial statement preparation * Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred; relevant certifications are a plus
Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
