About this role
The Mechanical Lead will have the ability and experience to motivate and drive employees to achieve Mainstays business goals and objectives. The Mechanical Lead will drive business development, lead with integrity, and demonstrate effective and efficient organizational skills. Leads will actively manage projects and support Project Managers within their department. Providing approvals, technical oversight and mentoring on proposals and engineering deliverables. Responsibilities:Managing project delivery, client satisfaction and client retention.Exploring business development opportunities and securing new clients and work for departmentFacilitating coordination of multi-disciplinary work and inter-departmental activitiesTracking department key metrics and managing staff efficiency including workload distribution and chargeabilityMonthly forecasting of work and tracking of project status within the department including budgets, schedules, invoicing, closeout and account receivables, followed by quarterly reporting to Senior ManagementWorking with senior management on adjustment of staffing levels according to business needsWorking senior management in employee recruitment, promotion, retention, succession planning, corporate culture, staff career streaming, conflict resolution.Building a positive working environment and proactively addressing concerns raised by employees.Ensuring employees have access to tools, training and support that helps them develop and achieve success in their positions.Working with the Quality Management team to uphold quality standards and procedures
