Strong leadership, communication, relationship-building, change management, and decision-making skills are essential. Candidates should have experience in healthcare operations, public health, quality improvement, budget and contract management, regulatory compliance, and team leadership. An undergraduate degree in a healthcare profession with a clinical background is required. Leadership experience in healthcare, corrections, or the public sector is preferred, and professional licensure is an asset.
