We are seeking a friendly and efficient *Barista* to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming environment for all guests. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of coffee beverages, handling food items, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Prior experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, cash handling, and customer service within a dynamic team environment.
*Duties*
* Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages following established recipes and standards * Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling * Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide exceptional customer service * Handle food preparation tasks including assembling food items and maintaining food safety standards * Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including cleaning equipment and utensils regularly * Manage cash register transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change * Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures * Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations during shifts * Uphold a friendly and professional attitude to foster a positive guest experience
*Requirements*
* Previous experience in food service or as a barista is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates * Basic math skills for cash handling and POS transactions * Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests * Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus * Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail * Food safety certification or knowledge of proper food handling practices is advantageous * Time management skills to ensure timely order preparation and service * Flexibility to work during peak hours, including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed
