*About the Role*
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Excavation Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will operate excavation equipment safely while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
*Responsibilities*
* Operate excavators and other heavy equipment safely and effectively. * Perform trenching, grading, digging, backfilling, and site preparation work. * Read and follow site plans, grades, and project specifications. * Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance checks. * Work closely with supervisors, labourers, and other equipment operators. * Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company procedures. * Report equipment issues and site hazards promptly.
*Qualifications*
* Previous experience operating excavators and related heavy equipment. * Valid driver's licence. * Knowledge of construction site safety practices. * Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. * Strong communication and teamwork skills. * Ability to read site plans and grade stakes is an asset. * Safety certifications (e.g., First Aid, Ground Disturbance, CSTS, WHMIS) are considered an asset.
