Number of Hours per Rotation: 28 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Standard Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse Practitioner $52.590 to $62.910 Travel Required: No Human Resources Exemption: No Experience- One year experience in community needs assessment/development/health promotion- 3 years experience as an RN in primary care, public health or acute careEducation- Graduate from an approved School of NursingLicenses- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)Other Education and Training- Certification as a wound care clinician from an accredited program- Certification in Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or equivalent program required- Degree in Nursing preferredKnowledge and Abilities- Knowledge of common medical conditions and treatments.- Demonstrate responsible decision-making supported by strong critical thinking- Recognizes the need for holistic care for individuals, families, and groups- Demonstrates ability to show initiative and self-direction- Demonstrates leadership and organizational skills- Demonstrates knowledge of multiple health promotion strategies- Knowledge of health promotion for wound healing, wound healing techniques.- Ability to apply methods and principles of nursing process- Demonstrates ability in verbal and non-verbal communication techniques- Demonstrates knowledge of community services, programs, and resources- Demonstrates empathy, trust and respect in the provision of care- Knowledge in individual assessment and counselling skills- Demonstrates ability to accept and implement change.Other Information- ...For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.
