About this role
*Responsibilities*
* Assist Early Childhood Educators in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities and curriculum. * Support children's learning through play, exploration, and daily routines. * Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, meal times, rest periods, and transitions. * Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment. * Observe and report children's progress, development, and any concerns to the lead educator. * Encourage positive social interactions and help children develop communication and self-help skills. * Support children with diverse learning needs and abilities. * Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members. * Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and centre policies. * Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training as required.
*Qualifications*
* *Valid Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) Certificate* recognized by the Province of British Columbia. * Valid First Aid Certificate (Emergency Child Care First Aid & CPR or equivalent). * Criminal Record Check clearance for working with children. * Previous experience working with young children is an asset but not required. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Patient, caring, dependable, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
Pay: $17.85-$20.50 per hour
