About this role
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Keep a record of items received and delivered. Load and unload goods. Follow directions and read map. Use maps and other trip planning aids. Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles). Transportation/travel experience: Local. Provincial/territorial. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Personal suitability: Flexibility. Organized. Reliability. Team player. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Support for youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth. Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
