Operating since 1984, this site specializes in the design, development, manufacturing and marketing of a broad portfolio of innovative LED and Lamp technology. The Toronto facility serves a variety of markets such as electronics, optoelectronics, digital printing, general assembly, coatings, and medical device manufacturing, as well as endoscopy, bioscience research, microscopy and instrumentation.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">The Mississauga facility is an FDA registered Contract Medical Device Manufacturer.</span></p> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">We are presently seeking an Assembly Technician II for our morning shift who will perform tasks to assemble optical, mechanical, electronic components, subassemblies, products or systems.</span></p> <p><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Main responsibilities:</span></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Performs routine tasks with limited supervision and only requiring supervision on newly assigned tasks.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Detail oriented with proven ability to learn new processes and systems.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as mechanical assembly, soldering, encapsulating, die bonding, wire bonding, cleaning, epoxy, curing, operation of pneumatic machinery, etc.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases or other packing material.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">May perform assembly operations under microscope or other magnifying device.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Performs inline testing, inspection using measuring instruments, software, fixtures, and electrical test equipment to ensure parts and assemblies meet production standards.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Ability to cross train on other programs in the facility.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Ability to perform various repair/rework operations using approved written procedures.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Follow instructions from electronic or printed assembly processes or electronic test procedures</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Ability to perform any other job-related task assigned by your supervisor/manager.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Requirements:</span></p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">At least 1 years to 2 years of electronics assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Post secondary diploma or certificate in a related discipline</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Ability to read and comprehend work instructions.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Good English verbal and written communication skills</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Experience working in an ISO9001, 14001, 13485 certified, and/or FDA QSR compliant environment is an asset.</span></li> <li style="font-size:14.0pt"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Work day shift from 6am-2:30pm Monday thru Friday </span></li> </ul><p> </p> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer </span><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Minorities/Females/Disability/Gender Identity/Sexual Orientation </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Excelitas is seeking leaders and innovators to join our global team!
