At Excelitas Technologies you are how we EXCEL. </span></span><br> </p> <p>We are currently seeking a <strong>Thin Film Technician</strong> who will operate coating chamber systems to produce coated optical components. </p> <p> </p> <p>Main responsibilities:</p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>Understands and promotes a safe environment.</li> <li>Sets up tooling (installs spacers/tooling as needed) (help assembles backers) (knows how to locate tooling). </li> <li>Load/unload parts into chambers as needed.</li> <li>Understands chemicals that are used throughout the lab and how to dispose of them.</li> <li>Foils chambers</li> <li>Changes targets</li> <li>Performs basic spectrophotometer scans of optical components</li> <li>Performs regens</li> <li>Bead blasts tooling</li> <li>Starts coating runs</li> <li>Knows the chamber status of their area</li> <li>Can perform simple crystal error recoveries</li> <li>Performs and supports 6S activities as directed.</li> <li>Knows chamber cleanliness and how it affects quality.</li> <li>Works effectively within teams</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li>High school diploma or GED preferred.</li> <li>Typically has a minimum of 3+ year optics experience or related industry experience and has demonstrated tech 2 expectations since last review.</li> <li>Needs to be proficient in basic math and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Needs to have a knowledge base of Excel and other various Microsoft Office products.</li> <li>Previous work experience in a process manufacturing environment is desired, but not required.</li> <li>Lifting requirements up to 50lbs</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Pay Range: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience.</p> <p> </p> <p>Our facility in Boulder, Colorado, has key functions in Research and Development, Operations, Production, and other disciplines.
