This individual will participate in preparing estimates and have a role on preconstruction teams for project pursuits, using construction management, hard-bid, design-build, and conceptual estimating methods for small to large scale projects in the Healthcare, Sports, Education, and Commercial<span style="color:#ee0000"> </span>markets. </p> <p style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a"><strong>Principal Duties & Responsibilities (*Essential Functions):</strong></p> <ul DIN';color:#00263a">Participate in estimate preparation for variety of contract types including CM, design-build, and lump sum</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Interact and effectively communicate with clients and team members</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Perform typical estimating facets such as:</li> <ul style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in" type="disc"> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Detailed quantity take-offs and organizing the quantities with unit pricing in production of an estimate</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Solicit bids and quotes from subcontractors and suppliers </li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Communicate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers to clarify pricing information</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Prepare estimate formats in such areas as general conditions, general bidding, quantity takeoffs, and bid analysis</li> </ul> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Wri<span style="color:#00263a">te or review detailed </span>scopes of work for construction contracts to be implemented by Project Delivery</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Work with Project Delivery in the Procurement of trade work</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Assist staff members with various special projects related to overall preconstruction and estimating efforts</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Develop estimates u<span style="color:#00263a">tilizing Autodesk, Destini, </span>WinEst, Excel, and other programs</li> </ul> <p style="margin:0.0in 0.0in 8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a"><strong>Job Specifications (*Essential Requirements):</strong></p> <ul style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in" type="disc"> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a"><span style="color:#00263a">2+ </span>years experience in construction estimating with a Construction Management or General Contracting firm</li> <li style="color:#ee0000;margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN'"><span style="color:#00263a">Market experience preferred in, but not all required</span><span style="color:#00263a">, K-12, healthcare, sports, higher education, general commercial</span></li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Experience with competitive design-build and hard bid</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Experience in developing and implementing value engineering solutions to drive down project costs for the Owner while maintaining a high level of construction quality</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Working knowledge of trades: scope, time frames, field execution and potential risks/exposures</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:8.0pt;line-height:107%;font-size:10.0pt;font-family:'URW DIN';color:#00263a">Demonstrate understanding
