Join EY and help to build a better working world. </div> <div style="font-family:Arial;font-size:1.0em"> </div>Job Description: Senior Manager, AI Architect (Oil & Gas/ Manufacturing) EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) Role Overview The Senior Manager, AI Architect (Oil & Gas/ Manufacturing) will lead the strategy, design, and implementation of AI/ML–driven solutions for global Oil & Gas clients. This role demands a seasoned AI professional with 15+ years of overall experience, including 2–3 years of domain exposure in Oil & Gas, capable of architecting enterprise scale AI platforms, operationalizing advanced analytics, and driving innovation across the O&G value chain. The candidate will work closely with client stakeholders, data teams, and engineering groups to accelerate digital transformation using cutting-edge AI technologies. Key Responsibilities AI & Analytics Architecture <ul> <li>Develop enterprise level AI architecture blueprints, reference models, and design patterns for O&G business needs.</li> <li>Architect scalable AI ecosystems leveraging cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), MLOps frameworks, and modern data platforms.</li> <li>Define solution architectures for machine learning, predictive analytics, generative AI, computer vision, NLP, and optimization models.</li> <li>Design end to end AI pipelines, including feature store architecture, model deployment, monitoring, and retraining workflows.</li> <li>Ensure AI solutions incorporate standards for data security, privacy, lineage, governance, and ethical AI.</li> </ul> Solution Delivery & Technical Leadership <ul> <li>Lead multi-disciplinary teams across AI/ML engineering, data science, data engineering, and platform teams.</li> <li>Provide hands-on guidance in solution design, modelling approach, algorithm selection, and model lifecycle management.</li> <li>Oversee development of robust, production-grade AI systems ensuring reliability, accuracy, and maintainability.</li> <li>Conduct architecture reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and EY methodologies.</li> <li>Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate AI into operational systems, cloud-native services, and digital platforms.</li> <li>Oil & Gas Domain Enablement</li> <li>Develop AI solutions addressing key O&G areas including:</li> <li>Production optimization</li> <li>Drilling efficiency & subsurface analytics</li> <li>Asset performance, reliability, and predictive maintenance</li> <li>Energy trading & forecasting</li> <li>Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) automation</li> <li>Architect AI systems using time-series, spatial, geoscience, IoT, SCADA data.</li> <li>Leverage industry platforms such as OSDU to design domain-specific AI and analytics solutions.</li> <li>Enable clients on adoption of advanced analytics frameworks tailored to upstream, midstream, and downstream operations.</li> </ul> Client Advisory & Stakeholder Management <ul> <li>Serve as a trusted advisor to CXO-level stakeholders on AI strategy, capability building, and transformation programs.</li> <li>Translate business challenges into scalable AI solutions and articulate value propositions clearly.</li> <li>Manage client expectations, align on solution architecture decisions, and drive roadmap adoption.</li> <li>Lead proposal development, solutioning, and thought leadership for AI transformation initiatives in Oil & Gas.</li> </ul> Innovation, Optimization & Continuous Improvement <ul> <li>Identify opportunities to embed AI across operations, value chains, and digital oilfield solutions.</li> <li>Lead development of reusable accelerators, frameworks, and toolkits for AI delivery.</li> <li>Conduct assessments of AI maturity and create roadmaps for capability uplift, modernization, and innovation.</li> <li>Stay abreast of emerging AI technologies, trends, and regulatory considerations to continually elevate EY GDS offerings.</li> </ul> Required Qualifications <ul> <li>15+ years of experience in AI/ML architecture, advanced analytics, or data science leadership roles.</li> <li>2–3 years of hands-on AI experience in Oil & Gas industry (upstream/midstream/downstream).</li> </ul> Strong expertise in: <ul> <li>ML/DL algorithms and architecture</li> <li>MLOps, model deployment, and lifecycle management</li> <li>Cloud-native AI frameworks (Azure ML, AWS Sagemaker, GCP Vertex AI)</li> <li>Enterprise data ecosystems, data lakes, and streaming architectures</li> <li>Experience working with IoT/SCADA systems, sensor data, time-series analytics, and geospatial data.</li> <li>Proven ability to design and deliver large-scale AI solutions across global organizations.</li> <li>Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and people leadership skills.</li> <li>Experience leading distributed, multi-vendor delivery teams.</li> </ul> Preferred Skills <ul> <li>Experience with AI for digital oilfield, reservoir modelling, production forecasting, or predictive maintenance.</li> <li>Understanding of OSDU Data Platform and domain data models.</li> <li>Certifications in cloud platforms or AI/machine learning.</li> <li>Experience with Generative AI architectures and enterprise deployment patterns.</li> <li>Prior consulting experience in large-scale transformation programs (Big 4 background is a strong advantage).</li> <li>Familiarity with DataOps, DevOps, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and microservices-based architectures.</li> </ul> <div style="font-family:Arial;font-size:1.0em"> EY | Building a better working world EY is building a better working world by creating new value for clients, people, society and the planet, while building trust in capital markets.
