At Duke University Hospital, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team of more than 60 full-time CT Technologists supporting a wide range of specialized services, including Trauma, Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, Cardiac, Oncology, Transplant, Interventional Radiology, Surgical Services, and Urgent Outpatient Care. Our CT department operates 20 state-of-the-art scanners across the health system, including 14 fixed clinical scanners, 5 intraoperative scanners, and 1 portable scanner dedicated to the Neuro ICU. This position will primarily support our inpatient and outpatient populations and provide imaging services in our Emergency Department, Cancer Center, and Duke Medicine Pavillion (a surgical and critical care expansion of the hospital). What you will do: <ul style="list-style-type:disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of CT scanners, power injectors, and related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Position patients for CT scans using patient positioning devices and protective equipment as necessary.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Perform exams accurately per established protocols, policy, and patient safety standards.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Assist radiologist with imaging procedures, starting IV's, and injecting contrast, if applicable.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Assist radiologist with interventional CT procedures.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence of exposure and appropriately label.
