The successful candidate will be assigned primarily to Crystal Lake, Brighton, and Maidstone State Parks, as well as other State Park properties throughout the region. The Duty Station will be Guildhall, Island Pond, Barton, or Marshfield based on selected candidate&apos;s location. </p> <p><br>This position needs a strong background in facility maintenance and skilled trades. Responsibilities include plumbing, carpentry and construction, structural maintenance, and the repair of park buildings, grounds, and infrastructure. The Maintenance Technician is also responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of park utility systems, including water and wastewater systems.</p> <p><br>Additional duties include overseeing the maintenance and repair of motor vehicles, tractors, and small-engine equipment assigned to the parks.</p> <p><br>As part of a regional team of maintenance professionals, this position collaborates on larger capital improvement and maintenance projects during the off-season while also working independently to address the day-to-day operational needs of assigned parks.</p> <p><br>The ideal candidate is dependable, adaptable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Standing, bending, kneeling, crawling, and sitting for extended periods of time may be required. Work in all types of weather should be anticipated. Position requires possession of a valid driver&apos;s license. Some potential for physical injury may be present. Manual dexterity and strict adherence to safety precautions are needed to operate equipment and use tools.
