The places we go, the elements we brave, the promises we deliver – <strong>it’s all possible because of our people.</strong> So, whether you’re looking to build new skills, make an impact in your community, or inspire your team, <strong>we go there</strong> for you. </span></span></p> <p> </p> <p> </p><div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Description</H2> </div><div><p>The Supervisor, Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) Maintenance manages MHE assets located at multiple PCL facilities (Depots A, B, C, and subs) within a defined geographical region (i.e., British Columbia region), PCL employees, and contractors through defined processes and systems.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Responsibilities</H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Ensure maintenance programs and support services and that the Regional Hubs operate with 99.95% uptime and availability, reliability and consistency across the Purolator network</li> <li>Develop, manage, inspect and oversee Material Handling Equipment / Conveyor maintenance programs to ensure availability and reliability, work order completion and performance</li> <li>Coordinate/plan schedules for outside contractor repairs</li> <li>Perform periodic inspections of recently maintained equipment so as to observe the quality of the maintenance performed and the operating condition of the equipment</li> <li>Monitor repairs completed by employees for quality standards and productivity requirements Identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect operations</li> <li>Ensure Computerized Maintenance Management system (CMMS) standardization, formatting & content development</li> <li>Will be working in shift as assigned by Manager.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Additional Responsibilities</H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Adhoc as assigned by Manager</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H3 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Experience & Education</H3> </div><div><ul> <li>Undergraduate degree or other equivalent qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing or equivalent)</li> <li>5 years experience in a supervisory role, supervising and managing skilled trades (i.e., welders, millwrights, electricians, mechanics).</li> <li>5 years experience working with Conveyor systesm in a high-volume, 24x7, high-speed package sortation environment;</li> <li>5 years experience as a lead-hand or supervisor</li> </ul></div></div></div><p><strong>Language Requirement: </strong>Proficiency in English is required for this position due to the frequent communications that must be conducted in English with various stakeholders.
