Adjunct faculty can teach up to 2 courses per<br>term, not to exceed 10 courses per year. This role participates in continuing professional<br>development and may also engage in faculty governance and curriculum work as needed.<br>Additional service activities may be assigned to Adjunct faculty. Scholarship is not required.<br>Teaching assignments for Adjunct faculty may fluctuate and are contingent upon the schedule<br>of courses. Adjunct faculty deliver high-quality instruction and foster an inclusive and supportive<br>learning environment conducive to student success.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>What to expect in this role:</b></H2> </div><div><p>● Providing a learning environment that supports student success.<br>● Teaching synchronous or asynchronous seminars as assigned by school or program.<br>● Posting course announcements in class and responding promptly to student messages<br> in the virtual office.<br>● Maintaining school-determined virtual office hours per week for each class.<br>● Ensuring timely management and response to electronic correspondence from students,<br> administrators, and other school officials.<br>● Leading message board discussions and engaging students in relevant discussion and coursework.<br>● Partnering with Academic Advisors to address student concerns.<br>● Maintaining and submitting accurate and timely reports for student grades/progress.<br>● Delivering mid-term and final grades to the Registrar's Office according to the academic calendar.<br>● Enforcing student conduct policies as outlined in the University Catalog.<br>● Attending department and faculty meetings.<br>● Additional duties as may be assigned by the School</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Experience:</b></H2> </div><div><p>●<em><strong> MSN, RN, 2 years; experience in med-surg</strong></em><br>● Higher education teaching experience, specifically teaching online, is preferred.<br>● Active, unencumbered registered nursing license and/or advanced practice registered nursing license.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>What we’re looking for:</b></H2> </div><div><p>● Exceptional computer skills using Microsoft Office applications and Zoom meeting<br> technology. A typical adjunct in the School of Nursing can expect to receive $3300 per full 10-week course.
