<p><span style="color:black">Vacancy Status: Active vacancy (currently recruiting).</span></p> <p><span style="color:black"><strong><br><br>About the Role:</strong></span></p> <p> </p> <p style="text-align:left"><span style="color:black">The Cel<span style="background-color:white">l 1 Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient handling, melting, and processing of various raw materials, including cocoa butter, oil, liquor, and butterfat,</span> to support production <span style="background-color:white">requirements.</span> This role also includes powder handling activities within the Powder Room, such as material dosing, weighing, and dumping operations. The Cell 1 Operator is cross-trained across all Cell 1 functions and may be required to operate an overhead crane, vacuum lifts, powered walkies, and forklifts to facilitate material movement throughout the facility. A strong commitment to food safety, quality, operational excellence, and employee safety is essential in all aspects of the role.</span></p> <p style="text-align:left"> </p> <p style="text-align:left"><span style="color:black"><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></span></p> <p style="text-align:left"> </p> <ul type="disc"> <li style="color:black">Prepare and stage raw materials for melting and powder handling operations according to production requirements.</li> <li style="color:black">Start up, operate, and monitor melting and powder processing equipment in compliance with standard operating procedures.</li> <li style="color:black">Monitor production processes to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operations while meeting quality standards.</li> <li style="color:black">Verify production orders, material usage, and inventory accuracy, including SAP transactions and tank inventory management.</li> <li style="color:black">Safely melt, transfer, and handle materials while maintaining product integrity and inventory control.</li> <li style="color:black">Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment, including sanitation activities and documentation requirements.</li> <li style="color:black">Perform equipment inspections, quality checks, and safety verifications to ensure reliable operation and compliance.</li> <li style="color:black">Accurately complete production, quality, sanitation, and safety records while communicating operational updates during shift transitions.</li> <li style="color:black">Support all Cell 1 activities, including melting, powder handling, material movement, and operation of certified material handling equipment.</li> <li style="color:black">Comply with GMP, HACCP, food safety, quality, safety, and continuous improvement requirements, including BCOS, TPM, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style="color:black"><strong>About You:</strong></span></p> <p> </p> <ul type="disc"> <li style="color:black">High school diploma or equivalent required.</li> <li style="color:black">Previous experience in a food manufacturing or industrial production environment is considered an asset.</li> <li style="color:black">Experience using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is an asset.</li> <li style="color:black">Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to product quality.</li> <li style="color:black">Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.</li> <li style="color:black">Strong communication and problem-solving skills.</li> <li style="color:black">Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and food safety standards.</li> <li style="color:black">Ability to perform physical work in a manufacturing environment, including standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 55 lbs. on a regular basis.</li> <li style="color:black">Ability to move throughout the facility, frequently climb stairs, access elevated work areas, and work comfortably at heights around industrial processing equipment.</li> <li style="color:black">Ability to work in varying environmental conditions and wear required PPE while complying with all health and safety requirements.</li> </ul> <p style="color:black"> </p> <p style="color:black"><strong>Compensation</strong>: Hourly Rate: $25<br><strong>Working Hours</strong>: Continental shifts 6:45am to 7:00pm / 6:45pm to 7:00am<br><strong>Shift Details</strong>: Day Shift / Night Shift</p>
