Purpose of the Role: The Facilities Technician - HVAC will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of building systems and equipment. This role is essential to ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment for all employees and visitors. Key Responsibilities: <ul style="text-align:justify" type="disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Respond to facility-related service requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Assist with setup and maintenance of facilities for events, meetings, and other activities.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance services.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards in all maintenance activities.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Identify and report any facility-related hazards or issues to management.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Support emergency response efforts, including safety drills and equipment readiness.</li> </ul> Qualifications: <ul style="text-align:justify" type="disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC technical degree or certification in facilities management, maintenance, or a related field preferred.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Experience in commercial or industrial facilities maintenance or a similar role.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">3 - 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial or commercial HVAC-R systems, with specific experience in chillers (centrifugal/screw), cooling towers, and pump systems.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and general maintenance practices.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Skilled with HVAC test instruments and tools (e.g., gauges, multimeters, flow meters). </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as needed.</li> </ul> Preferred Skills: <ul style="text-align:justify" type="disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Working knowledge of CMMS and computerized controls. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Working knowledge of HVAC-R principles, refrigeration cycles, and energy-efficient practices.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Proficient in reading technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14.0pt">Ability to use diagnostic tools, gauges, and meters to assess system performance. </li> </ul> Work Environment: The role involves physical labor, exposure to varying temperatures, and handling potentially hazardous materials. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be used at all times. May be required to work after hours and on weekends or holidays.
