ABOUT THE ROLE TransAlta is looking to hire an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our Mine Reclamation team in Centralia, WA. Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for safely troubleshooting and performing repairs on major rolling stock equipment, both mechanical and electrical systems. This is a full-time, unionized position based out of the Centralia Mine. This position follows a 4x10 hour shift schedule, Mon-Thur. This role is safety sensitive. The successful candidate will be required to complete pre-employment testing as a condition of employment. This is a IUOE Local 612-B position covered by the terms of the collective agreement.
