We Make Doors – Where they lead is up to you… Purpose of the Role <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">The Facility Support employee will be responsible for assisting the production lines and performing any job duties as needed by the shift supervisor.</li> </ul> Key Responsibilities <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Assist with production lines as needed.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Perform duties as a grader on the fiberline.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Perform duties as a stacker tender on the primeline.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Perform duties as a warehouseman.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Assist operators and millwrights in maintenance and downtime activities.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Assist in handling raw materials and products.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Be able to locate the designated areas for first aid, SDS info, and safety equipment</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Sort skins for shipment. </li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Perform housekeeping tasks as assigned by the Group Manager.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Hog reject skins.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Properly refill propane tanks.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Report all worn or malfunctioning equipment</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Prepare clear and concise time tickets for each day’s tasks completed.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Communicate with the Group Manager at the beginning of the shift to receive work assignments daily.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Immediately inform the Group Manager of supply problems, safety hazards, and accidents or injuries.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Inform the Operators of your presence when working in their respective areas of the plant.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Perform minor repairs and assist Millwright with major repairs when directed.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Perform any other duties assigned by the Group Manager.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Cross-train into other positions in the plant when time permits.</li> </ul> Required Qualifications <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Lift heavy loads, up to 50 lbs., frequently.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Stand for 2 to 3 hours continuously between break times.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Safely use hand and power tools.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Climb stairs and access ladders to work and maintenance areas.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Enter confined space areas.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Be able to accurately identify metric and standard measurements on a tape measure.</li> </ul> Preferred Qualifications <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Know doorskin grading specifications, styles, and sizes.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Know pallet specifications for regular and overseas pallets.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Complete the forklift training program and pass the operator’s test.</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif">Participate in the Plant Safety Programs as required per job duties.</li> </ul> About JELD-WEN Holding, Inc.
