<p><strong>Next Gen Women in Energy: Career Discovery Day </strong> <br><strong>Location: </strong>Gibson Energy, Calgary Head Office<br><strong>Event Date: </strong>Tuesday September 29, 2026<br><strong>Approximate Time: </strong>12:00pm to 5:30pm</p> <p><strong>Application Deadline: September 11, 2026</strong></p> <p> </p> <p> </p><p><strong>EVENT OVERVIEW</strong></p> <p>Gibson Energy is pleased to host <strong>Next Gen</strong><strong> Women in Energy: Career Discovery Day</strong>, an in-person career exploration event for up to 10 women undergraduate students interested in learning more about career opportunities in the energy sector.</p> <p> </p> <p>This half-day event is designed to provide meaningful exposure to Gibson Energy’s business, senior leaders, and future career pathways. Participants will gain insight into the skills, experiences, and opportunities that support success in energy, while building connections with leaders and hiring managers across the organization.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>THE EXPERIENCE</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Attend a <strong>networking luncheon </strong>with senior management</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Gain insight into Gibson Energy’s operations and strategy through presentations from senior leaders</li> </ul> <ul type="disc"> <li>Engage in interactive sessions focused on <strong>Engineering</strong>, <strong>Finance, Accounting, Energy Marketing and Technology</strong></li> <li>Connect directly with hiring managers</li> <li>Attend a closing <strong>networking reception</strong></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Currently enrolled in <strong>2nd, 3rd, or 4th year</strong> of an undergraduate program for the 2026/2027 school year</li> <li>Pursuing a degree in <strong>Engineering</strong>, <strong>Business, Commerce, Economics or Technology (interest in GenAI)</strong></li> <li>Must be available to attend the in-person event on September 29, 2026</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>CANDIDATE PROFILE</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Critical thinking and problem-solving ability</li> <li>Leadership potential</li> <li>Interest in pursuing a career in the energy sector with Gibson Energy</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>PROGRAM OUTCOMES</strong></p> <ul type="disc"> <li> <p>This event is part of <strong>Gibson Energy’s Next Gen Hiring Strategy</strong>. Selected candidates will be contacted to participate in a virtual interview, which will take place shortly after your application is reviewed if you’ve been shortlisted.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Successful candidates will be notified following the completion of the interview process on or before September 22nd.</strong></p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Gibson Energy Next Gen Scholarship Opportunity</strong></p> <p>The successful candidates will be given the opportunity to submit a 250-500 word essay to be considered for the Gibson Energy Next Gen Scholarship award. Details will be provided at a later date.
